Eat My Chocolate
We had gorgeous weather for our Labor Day weekend here in New York. The temperature was perfect and the city was emptied because everyone went to the Hamptons. My hubby and I spent most of the weekend exploring the city and shopping for clothes. Of course, you can’t shop without sustenance, so we were thrilled when we stumbled upon Eat My Chocolate, a small chocolate shop on Mulberry street, a few blocks away from my favorite bookstore, McNally Jackson. I am so glad that the city still has unique independent shops like these.
Eat My Chocolate has only been open two weeks, but I hope that it sticks around. We popped in to kill sometime before Screaming Mimi’s opened and decided to share a peanut butter macaroon. It was so delicious that I thought about making a run for it with the last bite. The shop owner brought over some free samples to try after we devoured the cookie. We decided we had made a brilliant choice to stop in.
Eat My Chocolate seemed to have a few baked goods, coffee and espresso. While I was disappointed that they didn’t offer iced coffee, I think that once the weather cools down a latte will compliment the macaroons and chocolate perfectly. The next time you are in the SoHo area, drop by this little hole in the wall and try some amazing treats!

My friends and I stumbled upon this place last week and we are so glad we found it. We had the chocolate covered almonds and a macaroon. Both were great but the chocolate milk was fantastic. Am looking forward to my next visit to this place and try the other goodies.
