Brow Wax at Anastasia Brow Studio
Eyebrows are more important than we give them credit for. They are functional, because they keep dust and dirt away from our eyes, but that is just the beginning. Really, the shape (or lack of shape) of your eyebrows can make you look years younger (or older). Oprah taught me this many years ago. I still remember the episode where Anastaisa came on and waxed Oprah’s brows.
After seeing that episode I vowed to always have properly shaped brows. I have tried a lot of places, first in my hometown of Vermont and then here in NYC. After one particularly bad incident when a woman who smelled like alcohol took a big chunk out of my skin while threading my brows I vowed to not be fooled by the $8 brow job.
This lead me to the Anastasia Brow Studio, located in the back of the Sephora in Times Square. A brow wax is $32, which is a little pricey, but well worth it because I have always gotten to keep all of my skin. My brow stylist, Sajida, does a great job. After about twenty minutes you will look five years younger. I will recommend that you call and make a reservation ahead of time. I have gone a few times hoping they could fit me in and I end up waiting for an hour sometimes. Waiting isn’t so bad because you can shop in Sephora while you wait, but that hurts my pocketbook even more! If you call ahead they can always get you in the next day, and sometimes even that day.
I highly recommend the Anastasia Brow Studio in Times Square. I always leave with fabulous looking brows.
