Snowed in Video Marathon
This is the second major snow storm we have had this month. I hate to be outside in gross weather, so I find myself staying in more and more. I can’t wait for spring!
I don’t usually like to stay inside. I pay a lot of rent to live in a tiny apartment so I can take advantage of everythig the city has to offer. But sometimes you have no choice but to stay in. There is nothing better than holing up inside during a snowstorm and watching movies. Here are my top five New York based movies that would make a great marathon on a snowy day.
1. Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist This is an under-appreciated movie that I have written about in the past. To read all about its greatness, click here.
2. 13 Going on 30 This movie is sure to make you smile and Jennifer Garner wanders all around the city in it.
3. Purple Violets This movie went straight from the Tribeca Film Festival to DVD, but I wish it had some play in theaters because the characters in in were really interesting. If you have never seen it, you should definitely rent it.
4. Bourne Ultimatum By movie number four you might be feeling a bit trapped. Now is the time for the action flick. This one made me feel like I was on a roller coaster ride when I saw it in the theater.
5. Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway Instead of heading out to see a show on Broadway, watch this fabulous final performance of one of the best musicals of all time.
Hopefully the weather tomorrow will be better and you can head outside and watch something other than the television!
