Knicks Game at Madison Square Garden
Last night I went to see the New York Knicks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves. I know what you are thinking, the Knicks? really? aren’t they really bad right now? And the answer is yes, the number of games they have won is rather low. This doesn’t mean that the game isn’t fun to watch though! And, because the Knicks are on such a losing streak, it means tickets are really easy and cheap to come by.
I got nosebleed seats for only $10 from Ticketmaster. Come on, that is cheaper than the cost of a movie. And just because the Knicks don’t beat the really good teams doesn’t mean that the games aren’t entertaining. Sometimes, like last night, the Knicks even win!
Even if you aren’t a big basketball fan, there are still activities to keep you entertained. During timeouts the Knicks City Dancers come out and swing their long locks around. You usually get to see some minor celebrities on the big screen who are also watching the game. (Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child was in attendance last night). The half-time show is usually hit or miss. Last night there was an interesting game of wheelchair basketball although I have seen Child Idol contests that weren’t so fabulous. It is really an interesting way to spend an evening and at only $10 bucks a ticket, what do you really have to lose?
